How Do I Back-Wash My Pool Filter?

1. First, turn off your pump.

2. Make sure your backwash hose is connected to the filter's waste part and the ball valve, if present, is open.

3. Turn the multiport valve to "Backwash".

4. Turn the pump back on and let it go for about two minutes.

5. Turn the pump back off, and turn the multiport valve to "Rinse".

6. Turn the pump back on and let it run for a minute or so.

7. Again, turn the pump off.

8. Restore the multiport valve back to "Filter" and turn the pump on.
